Pinoy-owned unlicensed nursing school in L.A. shut down Posted: 15 Aug 2010 06:10 PM PDT Pinoy-owned unlicensed nursing school in L.A. shut down RN Learning Center, an unlicensed nursing school in Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles owned by Filipino-American Junelou Chalico Enterina, was shut down last week. The school targeted mostly Filipino-Americans and had promised its students that they could get a BSN degree in less than 2 years. The Board of Registered Nursing has already ordered the school to be shut down 3 years ago. The authorities said that despite the order, RN Learning Center continued to operate. Enterina has agreed to close his school, never to open one again in California and pay former students an amount totaling in $500,000 in damages.
