Dr. Fely Marilyn Lorenzo of the University of the Philippines Institute of Health Policy and Development Studies said government data indicated a falling trend in hiring of Filipino nurses for the past years. "Data from the Commission on Filipino Overseas showed that the demand for Filipino nurses is slowing down in foreign countries, particularly in the country's top markets," Lorenzo said.
